Are adjustable beds for old people? Not anymore.

What is a Power Base bed and is it right for you?

Remember when an “adjustable bases” was something old people bought when they were coming home from the hospital? We now call them Power Bases because they give unprecedented power to adjust the angle of your sleeping surface.

By replacing a static foundation (or “box spring”) with a motorized unit, head and/or foot can be raised to accommodate individual needs. Adjusting the head slightly up is a non-invasive way to help people suffering from acid reflux, COPD, congestive heart failure, and sinus drainage problems. In some instances, lifting the head can decrease snoring.

Power Base beds are great for recovery.

Healing from back surgery, knee surgery, or shoulder surgery is also enhanced as lifting the feet takes the pressure off the lower spine, allowing a person to sleep comfortably on their back.

These are not your grandparents’ adjustable beds.

Mattressmax carries four different designs ~ everything from super simple 6-button models to more complex models that include massage, voice activation through a cell phone, and memorized positions. However, all models come with built-in USB ports for charging electronic gadgets and all have sturdy DC motors rated for 800 pounds.

We can put adjustable bases down into existing bed frames or attach existing headboards to the bases by adding adjustable base brackets.
